Stream will be on Sunday this week due to another fun filled dental appointment. See you then. Huzzah!
As for an update on the the game. I hope to be in the next dungeon by next week. Know me, it'll likely actually end up taking two. After that, basic balancing, after that, Beta testing. After that, release.
I’m a 27 year old American Otaku (Anime fan for you gaijins). I draw Anime and Manga on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and playing superior Japanese games. (Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Persona series)
I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.
I speak Japanese fluently, both Kanji and the Osaka dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Japanese history and their bushido code, which I follow 100%
When I get my Japanese visa, I am moving to Tokyo to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Studio Ghibli or a game designer!
I own several kimonos, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Japan, so I can fit in easier. I bow to my elders and seniors and speak Japanese as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.
Wow you seem pretty hard core into Japanese culture. I hope to visit the country myself next year. I dun wanna move there though. I get the feeling I'm quite suited for a super polite society when my default response to everything is the middle finger.
But regardless. Best of luck in japan dude. And how long did it take you to learn the language?
3 weeks. I had a guide on japanese speaking that said if i follow the program I can learn the entire language or my money back, I followed the program so I feel within absolute certainty I know it 100%.
By the way you should consider playing the persona series regless-san.
Ah but you have neglected a crucial part of your training oh boastful one....the art of knowing when someone is being sarcastic. You won't last long in the corporate world like that glasshoppah.
I have to say. There's something wildly entertaining about a good troll. Thank you sir for providing me with a good laugh. But I'm afraid to say the jig is up. The discrepancies in the vernacular of your posts are too gross to have been written by the same person. If you believe you have a reasonable explanation for this dilemma, please, feel free to elucidate. I am always ready and willing for a bout of verbal fisticuffs. However, if you are intimidated by my brobdingnagian vocabulary and choose not to post another oh so witty and accurately spelled response, I understand and will not fault you for being a coward.
Hmmmmmm. He may be onto something... talking like this is fun. ^_^
The only cowards here are those of you who insult me for believing in myself. You don't train with ur sword everday do u? Didn't think so. Tell us oh wise pineapple lord robert what discrepencies u find in my post.
Given that I am actually in Japan right now for the Air Force? Been here since 2012, and are here at least until 2017? You're a damn troll. No one "speaks" Kanji. That was the first clue.
Next, you're grammar went from near perfect to poor as hell. Everyone makes mistakes now and then but you went from a perfectly written paragraph to a few sentences so filled with holes that Shia Labeouf tried out for a part in it. Also, nobody said you shouldn't believe in yourself. If any of what you posted is true, then good for you. We're all simply saying that it is very suspect and would very much like proof. On top of that you assume that no one here practices kendo daily. Another issue is that bushido code only applies to samurai, not to the whole of japan. Then, yukatas and kimonos are rarely worn in japan anymore except for a select few such as the elderly, or on special occasions such as festivals.
ALSO. If you were true to bushido code, then you would have broken two of its tenets. #6 "Honor" and #8 "Self-control" by snapping at us and calling us cowards for insulting you.
"To take offense at slight provocation was ridiculed as ‘short-tempered.’ As the popular adage put it: ‘True patience means bearing the unbearable.’"
Why dont u tell me what proof u need? I dont need to spell perfectly its the internet not a japanese highschool english class. Also, I can wear whatever I want whenever i want. Just because my mind mixed up some words doesn't mean u have to get all angry.
Honor and self control are both things I've been using, how is saying that people are cowards not honorable? In war u can shoot if fired upon honorably, just like when u called me a coward I can shoot u down honorably.
@Cloud i meant i could understand how to write it obviously. Oh look u should have said [I've] been here since 2012 and [will be] here at least until 2017. Maybe ur a troll.
Enjoy the show Reg, you entertain us with the game, we entertain you with calling out fools.
As for you mister Anonymous, there is a big difference between your "mistake" and mine. My grammar wasn't perfect as this isn't a published work so I write how I talk. Saying "Been here" and "are here at least until" may be improper grammar, but they mean the same thing that your edits do.
YOUR "mistake" on the other hand, speaking kanji, VS reading/writing kanji are totally different actions.
Here's a simple test of your knowledge: What are the writing styles of Japanese, when do you use them, how many kanji do you know (Yes, a number. You should know this, and two other key details that anyone who studies kanji learns in the first day. These details make many people quit the class and stick to the other two writing styles. What are these details?) and also what is so special about afternoon and night greetings? This is basic Japanese 101 stuff that you learn in the first week. I actually pulled it from my old lessons.
More mistakes? You're American, and yet you're calling *us* gaijin? Really? You obviously don't know the meaning of the term. Let alone use it properly, adding an "s" to make a word that ends in "-jin" is a typical mistake of English speakers. That isn't how to make a word plural.
Also? You said you wear your kimono and yukata daily "so you can fit into Japan easier" then later when questioned about it not being normal to wear in Japan, you said that you "could wear what you wanted" this is true, but it shows that you obviously have no knowledge of the culture that you claim to have learned so well.
Also, about rebutting with "cowards" when called one? You don't fit into Japanese society at all with that. They are polite to a fault.
One more thing. There are multiple words for the number 7 in Japanese. What are they, (Google can help with that) but the key is, when do you use them? In what form? Again, Japanese 101.
Oh and one more thing. You mentioned that you were fluent in the "Osaka dialect". Please, since you know so much about Japan, explain the "Osaka dialect" the history behind it, how the people of Osaka feel towards other Japanese, and who taught you. Did you learn both "dialects" from the same teacher? Different ones? What?
... ok... after those last two posts I just wanna say.... I love all you guys. You're all the greatest. And yes, that includes you, Troll-san.
Also. As for the proof I want... how about a picture of you with your tickets to japan, your passport, and the acceptance letter to the prestigious Japanese high school you spoke of. Also... if your still in high school that means my 22 years beat yours. LEARN TO RESPECT YOUR ELDERS WHIPPERS-NAPPER!!!
Indeed. You know. I want a troll who does his thing for a while but eventually admits it. That'd be nice. But they all seem to be butt-hurt after those three goats.
Despite the fact that I watched her get worked on last night, I am still impressed with the improvements from the last streaming. Can't wait to try out chapter 1, whether it take 1 week or 2.
Well, there IS this thing called Patreon... I'm actually a patron for a few games on there. I'm going to be starring in them! One that is already fully funded: google "The Miskatonic".
Ah... yeah I'll show up as a side character. Not a main. In The Miskatonic, I'll be a professor at the school who gives some quests. In another game (Roundscape Andorevia - still on Patreon at the moment) I show up as a small sidequest, and my character from a recent D&D campaign shows up as an epic sidequest boss who is going to be in starting next month. He gets harder with every version of the game. In the end when it is fully completed he's going to be "that boss that is harder than the final boss".
I could have had a bigger role, but since the "me" in the game is based off of the "me" in real life, I gave him a realistic role. On the other hand, I broke every 3.5 campaign I can think of with my character build so that character is... a monster. They only chose to make him harder with every incarnation of the game until it is fully released because they want him beatable in every version, even if extremely difficult. Right now the level cap is 30, but the plan is for him to be difficult at level 80. The author just doesn't want to have an unbeatable boss in the game that won't be beatable until the full version is done. Doesn't want to "tease" players. I didn't have a problem with it, so they went ahead with that plan.
Dam i rly wanna play roundscape cant find a torent of the newer vers :D How far have they gone cos the ver i got is up to the point when ur draged to that castle infested with orcs and kill the boss to unlock the new town.
Thoe this is the biggest BS for me they write. We intend to make “Roundscape: Adorevia” a free-to-play, 2D sprite-based, high fantasy adventure game, that will be downloadable to run on the PC. Yet its been years and its still B2P-the curent ver.For next ver spend 10$ more......
It's not $10 per release, just to get your download code. Once you have that, you can always download the game for free and use the same code in newer versions. You only have to pay once unless you *choose* to continue supporting it.
They probably should have been clearer about that though. If you download the "official" version of the game it comes with a unique code that is generated by your system hardware. All the versions of the game use the same algorithm to make said code, so that code stays the same on the computer that you play it on no matter what version you use. Once you put it in once, it stays in your registry so future versions don't even ask for it.
Next update starts chapter two. The part you played to is the end of chapter one, but they added more sidequests and towns while they worked on chapter two.
Aha so ive only missed the Sidequests.Btw did they make some change with corruption cos i know there was a plan to change char look with more corruption
I think so... whatever Patreon as a whole takes. Whatever way you pay, Patreon only collects at the end/beginning of the month, so you should only pay in the last week of the month. Otherwise you'll just be waiting for a month for no reason.
8 years into the future: Regless sold his game to EA Games. The company has changed virtually all characters to be unrelated and adults. Next all H content is massively censored if not completely removed, (except one scene featuring alien butt-crack after the meteor crash event).
It's a wonderful experience. If you buy enough dlc and in game purchases you add a point to the *continuity counter.* This wonderful experience totals all users purchases and if enough in game purchases are made by many users combined so if everybodies combined continuity counter gets to 100, the game automatically unlocks the next chapter. So far we're at chapter 4 and everybody is thrilled with this system.
The multiplayer features 4 playable races and 6 better dlc races to unlock. If you buy in game items using real money, you can unlock the best equipment available straight off the start.
So I was wondering, what bone spirit dlc should I unlock? The darkness-dryden or the fish-based dryden? If I unlock 1 of those it'll give me premium access to the slime-skin spirit at 30% off, which I think makes it worth it.
Obviously darkness-dryden. While fish-drydens "drowned bone blast" is technically stronger than any of darkness-drydens moves, darkness-dryden has shadow door which allows him to fast travel to any discovered city which makes It the far superior buy. ^_^
Not only that, but darkness-dryden can use said move to warp between any shadows anywhere if you purchase the additional upgrade for a mere $14.99. With this you can warp to treasure chests in dungeons that are inaccessible until after beating the "final" bosses, gain extra post-game spirits, even sneak in during hidden sex scenes between characters that aren't recruit-able! Imagine being able to warp into the imperial treasure room, and start the game with enough funds to immediately make your home base the best town on the map? Let alone the other hidden bonuses that come of these new abilities.
He's right. However, on the other hand, with Fish-dryden you can purchase the water-breathing DLC for $26.79 granting you access to a new realm of the spirit world and at least 15 new scenes and over 35 new quests.
What time? I'm sorry to be a nudge but I don't want to miss it this time.
ReplyDeleteSame time. 4 pm Pacific Time Zone (UTC-08:00)
DeleteThis might help with time zone conversion. http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/
Gotcha, I know how to convert from my time area. just needed the time period. Thank you and see ya tomorrow.
DeleteI would assume the same time as his Saturday streams. But I can't say for sure.
ReplyDeleteConsidering I don't know when that is either, doesn't help much. I'll just pull up the link and wait I suppose

Deletelol. Trolling successful~!
DeleteI knew I recognized the spiel, I've seen it on another blog.
DeleteU guys are just all jelous about my skills and abilities. I plan to train myself on Mt. Fuji
DeleteNot to mention your superb spelling skills, such abilities are worthy of an excellent editor I do declare.

DeleteAh but you have neglected a crucial part of your training oh boastful one....the art of knowing when someone is being sarcastic. You won't last long in the corporate world like that glasshoppah.
DeleteThe sarcasm of foolish ppl isnt even worth my time when I'm training my kendo spirit nothing can stop me from being serios.

DeleteDon't Jinx it
