    1. There was an extra feature that I couldn't figure out and the file sync system I use for my laptop and desktop overwrote half of it so I had to redo the whole thing.

    2. At least it was only a week. Regless, get your code yet for the other game? How do you like it so far?

    3. Again I say thank you for getting this stuff worked out NOW, it's appalling how many "big time developers" don't have that ethic. Did you get a chance to look at the links I gave back at your last streaming?

    4. I like it. Lotta errors though. Not the greatest maps either. Trying to corrupt the characters while raising the affection is fun. Art definitely does the trick. I like how difficult the scenes are to find. They range from obvious to slightly difficult so it's not mind numbingly difficult to go looking for them. The brothel event was very good.

    5. Roundscape, very buggy even now.

    6. Ye im still debatin on getin it or not...10$ is a lot :(

    7. If you are into hot elves...this won't be for you. While many of the scenes are hot...if not matching the scenes being described, the ones for the elves just look off. Cawlyn has one good scene but another of hers is just awkward.

    8. Ive played a pirated ver but it was old and i loved it.Im debating on spendin 10$ wich for some may not be a lot but with my country's economy its a shit ton. Or if i can find some torent of the newer ver or something like dat

    9. What pisses me off is they market it as it will be f2p but wont release any demo for public....till its done lucky some people can find a torent on priatebay

    10. Honestly, I'm waiting on the next big release and if they don't shape up a lot of the issues like a lot of their scenes not triggering properly, I'm pulling my support.

    11. It lacks polish. I had fun but I wouldn't risk recommending it to other people in it's current state.

    12. I look at it mostly as a 'fun" game. Enjoyable pastime, not a serious game.

As for the money Nikola, you seem to be forgetting what Patreon is about.. It's a re-emergence of the old school patrons. You don't pay for an item, you pay to allow the artist to do their work because they now can afford to. Patrons would of course usually get free seats to their shows, (or disc ounted ones if they were small patrons) and stuff like that. But the show still didn't go on until the play was complete.

    13. If i was paying the artist and no the game it wouldnt be requered of me to spend 10$ to play the game.....You think most of the 10$ donations are for the artist? i call BS on that they are from people who want to play the game cos they are tired of wating years for it

      Delete
    14. One more thing look at their donations 1k 10$ only 31 25$....

    15. No... being a patron rewards you with being able to play early "beta" releases. As if you were a large shareholder in say... Capcom and got to play the new Street Fighter before it was released to the public. Being a patron means you get to assist in creating the game, because without your patronage they couldn't afford to make it.

Being a patron back in the day was *always* more expensive than buying tickets to see the show, but without those patrons the show was never going to exist because the rich weren't the writers.

    16. As for the amounts people are donating: (1) you can't judge them based on what other people can afford to pay, of *course* you're going to have more donators at the lowest tier, that is *always* the case. (2) They realize that they can get more money from accepting many "little" donations that hoping for a rich benefactor to just fund the whole thing. So they put little increments out there and people pay what they can afford or want based on the rewards given. What's the problem? $10 is cheap as hell for *any* game, and you only need to pay it once.

People *do* need to eat, and honestly, why should they give up their free time to make a game for you to enjoy and not get something out of it? It's why people have constantly said the Regless should make a Patreon and accept donations. He deserves it. I don't see you offering your free time to make other people happy.

Lastly, those are suggested donation slots with rewards established. Obviously higher donating patrons should get better rewards. That existed even in the past, and is only fair. When you choose to donate, you don't have to donate at the tiers they offer. You can *always* type in a manual amount instead. No one is forcing you to do anything, so you should really stop being so judgmental about something you obviously don't know much about.

    17. If you wanna compare this to the old days lets do that cos ive studyed this.
Patreons in the old days didnt get a exclusive play to them only no but they got front row seets in the opening night and a free ticket whenever they wished. Also they had massive controll over what went on.Basically if they bring something up they wished for it had to be put in no matter what.
Now they had no exclusive play..They could make one where they invite people but that was of their own free will.
Now lets come to the present. The best example of how patreon should work is Fenoxos TiTS.Closed build when ever update happens and 1 public once a month. And they make even more money than roundscape because of this. The prob is roundscapes people are scared if they did that no one will pay but its dumb cos you atleast need something to show to get peoples atention and not be the game ya gotta pay to play. This came has been buy to play for 1-2 years so far.....1-2 years is deffinition of Buy to play.Dont beleve me look WIldstar was pay to play now its F2p so your telling me it was a F2p game from the start?.....
As for your comment "What's the problem? $10 is cheap as hell for *any* game, and you only need to pay it once." well as you said people need to eat and 10$ is a months worth of food where i come from. You are comparing a frst world country like USA to a third world country thats the closest thing to a dictatiorship witout being one.
Really? I need to save a whole year for a 3-5 day vacation where a apartmant costs 15$

      Delete
    18. As for the wildstar thing its goin F2p this fall. They were losing atention cos pay to play....same reason why roundscape doesnt make much

      Delete
    19. The comparison is *obviously* going to be different in some ways. For two simple reasons:

      1. The old days they were patroning things like plays, music shows and the like. So no, you obviously wouldn't get a "private" play, but you did as you said, get the preferential seating. And if you were a large enough donor, those seats were either cheaper or free.
      2. This is a game, that is easily distributed online in it's incomplete form. So the "beta" is their version of "front row seating".

In the end, the point is that patrons get a benefit of some kind, not what benefit they get.

As for the control over what went on, that was for the "patrons" or the large donators, not for those who offered little bits of money here or there. The *major* donators had such a say. Which is also mirrored in many patreon items, (including Roundscape!) where the large donors, the true "patrons" rather than the small donors, get to put something in the game. So that point is moot.

After this, you start going on about "the best way a patreon should work"... this is where fact immediately goes away and your own personal bias on how something should be done comes in.

As for pricing, all I can literally say on that is "oh well". I mean, sure it sucks that you live in a country where the money over there is crap compared the the USD, but how is that in any way their problem? They don't live in that country, and guess what? They still have bills to pay. If they are going to take their time to make a game rather than do a normal 9-5 job, then they need money in the amounts that would matter to fit *their* economy, not yours.

The simple fact of the matter is that you can always wait and play the completed game when it is finished. You don't *have* to play the beta. You're being ridiculous. Now, if they suddenly changed and started to charge for the game after claiming on the patreon that once it was complete it would be free, *then* a complaint could be made. But even then, you wouldn't have a valid complaint. Only the donators, the patrons would, because they could say that they specifically chose to fund a game that was "free" for the enjoyment of all. They, and they alone would have the right to complain about such a change in direction.

To be honest, your complaint about pricing would be more fit for those Korean run online games where they charge USD for items, even though the South Korean won is shit compared to the USD considering what the exchange rate was when I was there last October.

Here? Your rant is misplaced. You quite literally have nothing to stand on debate wise. At least, not with any of the points you have raised so far.

    23. Lastly, there is another point to be addressed. That of common, everyday, commerce.

The creator determines the value of their creation. They price it accordingly.

The consumer determines if they agree with this stated value (and obviously other things like whether they desire said item at all or not, but that is irrelevant for this point) or not and shows this by either purchasing the item, or not purchasing it.

That is the situation you are in.

Now, you can either choose to decide that the item is not that valuable *to you* and therefore decide not to spend the money, or you can behave in a childish manner by claiming that their price is "unfair" simply because it is in their currency and not yours. The world has different economies. That is a fact of life. It is also a fact of life that you are going to run into this issue for the entirety of your existence.

Now, considering you are presumably an adult, one would think you were used to this by now, and would have realized long ago that the problem is your country's economy and not the people in other countries who need to make a fair wage for their product.

To ask someone to base a "fair wage" on an economy they are not a part of is simply insane.

Would it be nice if the world was like a video game where the gil/zenny/G/fol/etc was the same rate all over? Hell yeah. Unfortunately, we live in reality. Get over it.

This isn't me being a dick, I realize it sucks. I was a patron for a game that was in euros once. It was crazy expensive. More than I'd expected once the exchange rate was considered. But I sucked it up, tightened up my belt and let my wallet be emptier. Because *to me* it was worth it.

These are the adult decisions we have to make in this world, and they are the *easy* ones. Ranting about them is just pointless.

    24. Frst of all you strated comparing old patreonage and new that was what you opened on.I only continued what you started.
Secondly i mearly stated that people did not pay for the artist they pay for the game cos they are tired of waiting for it.I did not say that paying because of this is wrong i never stated that.
Thirdly i did not say that paying to play a beta was unfair. I said that paying to play a beta that lasts 1-2 years with NO demo build to show off is unfair.Nearly every game thats in beta has a Demo or something to show off. Roundsape has nothing wich is a stupid thing on their part but ok.
Then you say that the pricing of a Triple A game from korea is a lot....its avredge of 30$ and an a RPG maker game that 10$
and even then those tripple A games are mostly free to play the big ones.Games that have Days upon days of content compared to a few hours of roundsape content. You can even get into their betas or even alphas for free.....
Then you asked me about my economyc issues well its a country where 3 people robed bilions upon bilions and no one can do shit to stop them....They run the major buissnises so if you wanna be out of a job dont vote for them....They cut the pay of everyone bit by bit...No one can protest cos they dont give a fuck. Students protested to external testing in schools for 4 months they didnt go to school and my goverment didnt give a rats ass....
And lastly my wasnt a rant at all you forced it into being one.If you dont recall i did write this "Ye im still debatin on getin it or not...10$ is a lot :("

    25. 1. Merely pointing out that a comparison between the two there are going to be differences, otherwise it wouldn't be a comparison, because the two things would be the same thing. Therefore when making *any* comparison, (Roundscape or otherwise) you have to use logic and realize that not *everything* will be exactly one for one. That is a perfectly logical, and debate worthy method of refuting your earlier straw-man argument that Roundscape was wrong for:

"Patreons in the old days didnt get a exclusive play to them only no but they got front row seets in the opening night and a free ticket whenever they wished."

This is false logic when comparing a game to a play or other show. Especially since the "free seats" option wouldn't exist in this case since the "show" is going to be free to all once it is ready to be "performed".

You used bad features to compare. Not my fault. I simply called you out on your bad logic. If yoou want to debate, you have to present your ideas in a clear, *logical* manner, or be prepared to have your statements refuted.

      2. The money issue in my last message came from several points, one being this:

"If i was paying the artist and no the game it wouldnt be requered of me to spend 10$ to play the game.....You think most of the 10$ donations are for the artist?"

This point is flawed in it's entirety because it doesn't matter if people funded because they were tired of waiting. They still *chose* to fund. Neither Patreon, nor the people who put their work on that site, are responsible for the mindset of those who are funding the game. And also? Since you don't have to fund every month to get the update, that's the problem of the donor, not the creator. You were displacing your judgement.

      2. The part about pricing in Korean games being unfair is this, for Roundscape, they are asking for pricing in the currency of most of the people on the team. This is to support them financially while they take their time to make the game instead of working. Korean games on the other hand, ask for currency that is much higher than the rate that they need to live. Which is where they are more worried about getting rich rather than just surviving while providing content. This is why your "rant" on the money issue would be more in place on one of those games rather than Roundscape. I wasn't saying that they were "expensive" rather that they are overcharging since they pay cheaply for everything being based in Korea. That is a more "valid" complaint, even though even that I would say is not *really* valid, since you can charge whatever you wish, but it at least is more understandable a viewpoint.

    26. 3. Not having a demo build is a decision they make. Again, does Capcom or Square/Enix, or any other game company release demos of every game they are making in a bid to get more shareholders? No. They make *some* demos every now and then, but for the most part you play the game when you get it. They also make many more games than the ones they make demos for. Even if this wasn't the case, this is their business decision to make. Complaining about it is useless. When you have your own "business" then you run it your way. They are currently succeeding despite you saying they "don't make that much" (which for someone who is from a country with a bad exchange rate to the USD, calling their 13k a month not much seems counter to your supposed living situation) they actually are doing very well considering how niche their game is. Lastly, you are comparing a home made game by a few people to an entire corporation, and complaining that the indie game doesn't do what the corporation made game does. That is a completely unfair comparison. The *only* time it is fair to compare an indie game to a corporation made game is to say how much better the indie game is! Because they have less money to work with. You're just making horrible comparisons all around. I usually agree with most of your stances in a debate from what I've seen here, but this one is just...

      4. Again, I didn't "ask" about the state of your economy. I merely stated that while it is a shame that it sucks, there's nothing anyone that actually cares can do, so unfortunately you kinda have to live with it. That's a shitty statement, but a true one. And I pride myself more on truth than on empathy.

    27. You are ignoring what i say and just hang on a portion of it....Now i see this argument is pointless if you keep doing this...
You said you didnt want to be a dick but doing just this makes you one.You dont fully read what i say at all you just skim it and miss nearly everything and just talk for the sake of making a argument.
1.When you make the comparison its about them being the same. When i do it you say ah no but its different...like realy?
      2. AND PLEASE ACTUALLY READ THIS COS THIS ONE YOU NEVER READ AT ALL. I did not say that its wrong that they payed the 10$ patreon to play the game cos they are tired of waiting for it. I said that your idea of them paying the artist is wrong. Over 70% mby even more of those 10$ donations are cos people dont want to wait so they spend. And not as you said for the artist mby a few but a few.
3.I didnt not say they did something wrong, accept for the demo thing.BUT i did say this "Roundsape has nothing wich is a stupid thing on their part but ok." "But ok". Meaning i dont agree with it but its ok cos as you said its their decision a bad one but ok
4.True you didnt ask about my economy. You only said if i knew. This was my way of saying yes i know.I didnt not ask for any of your sympathy cos that is really worthless.Sympathy cant help me at all
