First of all, LOL, you're out of your mind if you think American laws affect Canada.
Second, ART and PORN are very different things.
If you can't tell the difference, don't even bother posting.
For example, the statues in a museum are nude, but as a work of art it can be put into a hard drive.

You did NOT define it, you misleadingly paraphrased it to avoid admission that it involved over sexualized situations. There was not a single word that said "art" in the definition.
OMG, you really don't know the distinction between erotic art and porn? There's a reason a teacher can't just bring hentai to school to teach children about art you know...
"In addition, a distinction is often made between erotic art and pornography (which also depicts scenes of love-making and is intended to evoke erotic arousal, but is not usually considered art). The distinction may lie in intent and message; erotic art would be items intended as pieces of art, encapturing formal elements of art, and drawing on other historical artworks. Pornography may also use these tools, but is primarily intended to arouse one sexually. Nevertheless, these elements of distinction are highly subjective."
For instance, Justice Potter Stewart of the Supreme Court of the United States, in attempting to explain "hard-core" pornography, or what is obscene, famously wrote, "I shall not today attempt further to define the kinds of material I understand to be embraced ... [b]ut I know it when I see it ..."
So according to you hentai isnt erotic art. Is a question of law. That means it is still being debated weather that is breaking the law or not. That means this hasn't yet been approved but is under discussion.
As for your school reference. If i brought art with a metric shit ton of Blood and gore in school and showed it off you think that wont be taken away? on the contrary it has and will be taken away ive seen it. And one more thing. In some schools actually most modern schools if you make something sexual in art class it has to be respected. Since this is a debate thats overall across the world about hentai not being a art you cant use the scapegoat but not in canada https://www.aclu.org/freedom-expression-arts-and-entertainment
There is a distinct difference between the two. You can determine two major differences in art style.
Erotic Visual novels are novels about porn, not art. I'm not sure what part of this concept you don't get. If virtually all tentacle assault hentai was considered ART, in your mind would it be ok for a teacher at a middle school to show pictures of a middle school girl getting raped by tentacles? Do you keep ignoring my comment here for a reason? You're saying it's a cop-out, how is it a cop out? The school not tolerating porn and tolerating art requires u to understand the difference between the two.
Yes, art class can have some eroticism in art, just like literature can too.
I'm going to try to explain this to you. Read this carefully. ACLU is an AMERICAN ORGANIZATION. The constitution and freedom of expression they bring up OVER AND OVER AND OVER again has nothing to do with canada.
Are you just... yeah... or can you really not understand the difference between hentai and art? The blogger here:regless specifically said it's a hentai game.
"sexualized characters and sexually explicit images and plots"
Art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture. So your saying it doesnt take creativity and imagination to create hentai. Interesting. So tell me how do you paint something without imaginig it frst? And the art styles in the 2 tenticle rape pics is only different cos one uses old methods to paint it the other used newer ones. ACLU says that it is art. It wasnt a question if in canada or not it was a question if art or not so you cant use the scapegoat its not canada sory to tell you this. Secondly its not okay for a midleschool teacher to show blood and gore too. You have lots of art like that. It doesnt mean all art is for everyone. And you say hentai is not ok in schools and erotic stuff is art. Well good luck geting erotic images and stuff in school. Thirdly yes its a hentai game but its still a form of art. Hentai is art. And if a image is not art im sory for your culture. Guess its true most of americans have low the lowest level of education sadly.
Hello Ken-"no honorific", nice to see that you're still a damn fool. All porn is considered art, in both the states and canada. This isn't say... South Korea where you can get arrested for porn. So get over yourself.
Hate to burst your bubble Ken, but if what Reg is doing, really considered illegal he would have been hulled away for the demo he released and all the streams he did.
No respectable law enforcement agency would press charges for just imaginative illustrations. That would be opening up a big constitutional can of worms, and without an actual victim (or intent to create one) to back up the charges, they would soon find themselves in a position where they could end up getting sued by Reg and/or civil rights groups. Not to mention that it could potentially backfire and created some really bad press if people decide to speak up and make it an issue.
If Reg is really worried that he may face legal strife, he only has to add a “these characters are 18+” in a disclaimer. Since he is the artiest, and there is no victim or intent to create one. In other words, good luck getting a conviction.
So I'm just wondering why the following sections exist if it can all be written off as "ART."
Explain it to me?
(a) a photographic, film, video or other visual representation, whether or not it was made by electronic or mechanical means, (i) that shows a person who is or is depicted as being under the age of eighteen years and is engaged in or is depicted as engaged in explicit sexual activity, or (ii) the dominant characteristic of which is the depiction, for a sexual purpose, of a sexual organ or the anal region of a person under the age of eighteen years
As to why he has not been put away yet? It is because no one has reported him.
Give me your district location so I can report your child pornography distribution to your local authorities if you have nothing to hide.
You didnt reg. You never listed their ages. As for your remak ken it doesnt say anything about hentai Electronic or mechanical means mean Digital camera or a normal one that works on film. This does not mean Digitaly drawn art of a non existant person. Those laws are there so children arent used in porn because it can traumatise the person. And reg dont worry they cant do shit to you ^^
No, Nikola. You're wrong there. Electronic means includes ANY electronic means. Digital requires an electronic means by default.
(a) a photographic, film, video or other visual representation, whether or not it was made by electronic or mechanical means.
Do you notice the MADE by electronic means? It's not referring to a camera, it's referring to all electrical methods of graphic creation.
ANY visual representation. The reason they say mechanical and Electronic is because that specifically defines computer based means of creating it.
As to whether or not you defined their ages... I believe in the game they have been referred to as children and thus not adults, and thus a minor under the age of 18.
Went ahead and looked up the legal definition of electronic just so u can admit ur wrong.
adj. 1. Of or relating to electrons. 2. Of, based on, operated by, or otherwise involving the controlled conduction of electrons or other charge carriers, especially in a vacuum, gas, or semiconducting material. 3. Of, relating to, or produced by means of electronics: electronic navigation; electronic books. 4. Of or relating to music produced or altered by electronic means, as by a tape recorder or synthesizer. 5. Of, implemented on, or controlled by a computer or computer network.
Also, "made by electronic or mechanical means" *could* indeed mean taken by a camera. I actually (and believe me I hate saying this) agree that in this particular instance it doesn't, however it certainly *can* mean that.
The problem with your definition Ken, is that when you use a word it can mean any ONE of the definitions available, or even multiple, but it doesn't always have to mean ALL of the possible definitions. So while I (shudder) agree with your assumption, it is still an assumption.
And who says they aren't? They just aren't "adults". What is an adult in their culture? Maybe they didn't manage to complete one strange ritual like the African ritual of walking across several cows backs in succession at least 5 time, so they are eternally considered "children".
And considering that the character can buy Beer and Wine from the bar, evidence suggests that he is over 18. Just still considered a kid for some reason. Since the ages aren't mentioned officially, the evidence available looks more in Regless' defense than yours.
Lastly, as previously stated, all Regless needs to do is add the line about all characters being over the age of 18, and never stating their ages in-game. Then he's done. End of story. Plenty of 18+ people still live at home.
And ken as cloud said it depends on the context. True underage real porn is ilegal fictional is legal and always has been. Just look at a few underaged hentai that are fairly popular and legal-Oni Chichi. If it was ilegal and persecuted reg wouldnt be able to find links to it from canada it would be banned.
Also Ken. Leged of queen opala would have been banned by canadian gov for underaged anime porn by now btw. Its a really famous hentai game and nothing was done to it. For all of you that didnt know yes Gabe is Canadian
Cloud, first of all let's not play dumb. The law would say what exceptions it has to a rule if it meant things in that way.
Second, buying beer for children was only unusual in the past few generations, children had beer for millenia throughout history. In fact some circumstances in certain first world countries tolerate giving children alcohol. (England for instance)
They obviously look 18- and you need to stop pretending differently. The characters are also referred to as children and so ur point is moot. Regless will need to say they are all adults that look like children, he has no right to put children in this situation as this would be child porn by Canadian law. That is a simple fact.
Nikola, once again the law says 18, doesn't matter what country u become an adult.
It is not legal in Canada. I am still waiting for Regless to give me his address so I can send the local authorities to his household to arrest him for his crimes.
Went ahead and ACTUALLY looked up her location unlike u Nikola. It's on her profile at hentai foundry.
The only time I ever heard of anyone getting in trouble for fictional "underage" artwork also had real pictures and where distributing them. Which I'm going to guess was the real reason they where in trouble in the first place.
Another case I recently read up where a person wrote a fictional story about sexually abusing a minor, was taken to court for trying to incite someone to abuse a minor (the person turned out to be an undercover PO). The story he wrote was mentioned in the newspaper article I read, but it's pretty obvious he got in trouble for trying to incite a crime, and not his taste in fiction.
Reg has not declared that the characters are underage or even have an age. Unless he actually has real pictures or frequently socializes with that kind of group. I think he has little to worry about.
If someone wants to cause him trouble, they will. That is just the way the system works. But the person that makes the accusations has a lot to loose also. So I don't see a situation where someone would take the risk of trying to get him in trouble.
Gordon Chin trial In October 2005, Canadian police arrested a 26 year old Edmonton, Alberta man named Gordon Chin for importing Japanese manga depicting explicit hentai of child pornography. Chin's attorney claimed Chin did not know it was illegal, and that he was naive. Chin was sentenced by the judge to an eighteen-month conditional sentence, during which he was barred from using the Internet. This is the first known manga-related child pornography case in Canada. It is also the first known that exclusively prosecutes this offense, not used in conjunction with other laws to increase sentencing. Eli Langer Art Show Trial One early application of this law was the Eli Langer case. In 1993, this Toronto artist had an exhibition at the Mercer Gallery. His drawings included images of children in sexual positions. Police raided the gallery and confiscated the works. Langer was eventually acquitted after a trial because his work was considered artistic enough to be justified as protected speech.
You have these 2 trials. So dont know But its true reg hasnt revealed ages and they can easely pass for 18 yo
Chen pleaded guilty on the charge from what limited information I could find, so that pretty much explains his conviction. If he fought, I imagine he would have been acquitted like Langer.
Getting sentenced for illustrated "porn" of any kind is like going to jail for murdering a polygon.
I guess you do have a point, and our legal system over here can be pretty stupid sometimes. I guess Reg will decide in the end if he wants to add a standard disclaimer or what not.
Anon up above me, several of those images werent even porn, one person was in Brazil, what point are u trying to make?
Also, I will consider making charges against Gabe for her pedo-game, but I'm not sure because I thought the characters were 18+ if im not mistaken.
Regless is lucky that I, the glorius ken-sama, have made it so regless will need to redo everything. Enjoy playing a game where all the characters must be 18+. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I have won! I have defeated this game!
In fact, I assume based on the downloads he could face hundreds of thousands of charges based on unique ips. He could live in prison, game unfinished, with Canadian justice being served.
He must change the ages to 18+ or he WILL be a child pronographer and face up to 5 years in Canadian prison per charge.
Either the Canadian law is stupid and wrong or Regless is wrong to make this DESPICABLE game.
Also regless, btw, your address pls. It's just a formality, really. I ask everyone I report for their address.
Lol gj anon. Haha. And ken u didnt do shit if he doesnt specify their age it wont matter. Only way a fuckup can happen if he says that they are underaged so u lost
Did it say they are underage no? And there are people that are 21 and are mistaken for underaged- Me for example i look like a 16 yo.... Also i can show ya a frend of my thats 15 looks 25. Then you got people that live with their parents and are still treated like kids so u lose. As for the courts thing dont you realise i was trolling your ass. hahahaah wow how thick can u be.
Anon- I consider none of those porn, but I only looked at a couple of them. I assumed by ur sentence some of them were porn. One of them was an anime girl just standing around in clothing, wtf were u even thinking?
"As for the courts thing dont you realise i was trolling your ass. hahahaah wow how thick can u be."
I think you were being thick as fuck and now doing damage control. It's fairly obvious that's what your doing right now, and I find it kinda pathetic you're insulting my intelligence over it. I'm pretty sure others who read that part of the conversation are going to notice it too.
As for appearances and actual age argument ur trying to pull here... they are referred to as children... He legally must declare them 18 years old or greater midgets of some kind. He has no choice as this is what Canadian law has declared. He must also say that being an adult is reached past 18 so that way the "children" comment characters make is in effect a part of their world.
He has no choice but to comply with these demands. The canon of this game must require all characters with sexualized themes be 18+, he doesn't have any creative freedom to change that. That is all. That is the one thing you will never be able to argue against.
You, my friend, are really getting some milage out of this trolling. XD. And Canadian law is weird. Age of consent is 16 all across Canada but the laws you referred to still apply to anyone under 18. You got me kind of interested so I'm casually look this up now when I get bored.
Did you know? That you are not allowed to have anal sex unless it's with your wife or if both parties are at least 18 years old? Just because 16 is the age of consent DOESN'T mean ur allowed to have consensual anal sex.
Guilty parties of this law may face only 10 years in prison, which is twice as bad as your child pornography laws.
Prob is ken for that law no one is dumb enough to say i had anal with my BF/GF in front of a court.Cos both of em would be guilty. This is a prime example of a dumb law
This has to be my favorite thread so far. Thank you Ken-Sama and Nikola Mircevski for giving me such an entertaining read! ^_^ Ken, you're a moron who makes me weep for humanity. Nikola, I see a lot of you and good on ya for playing with the troll.
Getting away from the troll...is there some trick to beating Regless near the beginning of the game? He seems to have as much HP as the Porky statue in Mother 3 (10,000,000 HP).
Yo, Regless, you got an approximate release timeframe? just wondering cause im really looking forward to this game, been keeping tabs on it for a while, its one of my favorite h-rpgs by far. just wanna know if its gonna be like, a month or so, if not its fine ill be patient for this, its worth it. and ty for the amazing product ^^ keep up the good work. im like broke right now, but if i get any spare cash ill donate.
Does this game go beyond the prologue (it might not, but some of the comments in previous posts lead me to believe it does)? If so, I may have encountered a game-breaking bug because I can't get it to continue past that. The first time I got to the prologue end screen, I did something (not sure what since I tried pressing half the keys on my keyboard) that brought up a text windowing asking me if I wanted to save, though whether I saved or not, I was unable to continue. After loading up the save right before the Regless fight and trying again, I can't even get that to happen. The only thing I can do is bring up the menu with X as if I was in a position to move around. Trying this multiple times yielded the same results.
....Mwahahahaha....
ReplyDeleteSo close to completion. Everyone's hopes are so high. It's a shame, really. I am officially cancelling your game.
"You cant do anything!"
Oh, but Canada can.

Nice to meet ya Ken Sama.
DeleteHello Ken-"no honorific", nice to see that you're still a damn fool. All porn is considered art, in both the states and canada. This isn't say... South Korea where you can get arrested for porn. So get over yourself.
DeleteHate to burst your bubble Ken, but if what Reg is doing, really considered illegal he would have been hulled away for the demo he released and all the streams he did.
DeleteNo respectable law enforcement agency would press charges for just imaginative illustrations.
DeleteExplain it to me?
(a) a photographic, film, video or other visual representation, whether or not it was made by electronic or mechanical means,
(i) that shows a person who is or is depicted as being under the age of eighteen years and is engaged in or is depicted as engaged in explicit sexual activity, or
(ii) the dominant characteristic of which is the depiction, for a sexual purpose, of a sexual organ or the anal region of a person under the age of eighteen years
As to why he has not been put away yet? It is because no one has reported him.
Give me your district location so I can report your child pornography distribution to your local authorities if you have nothing to hide.
It is also not nice to meet u regless because of the fact that this porn you are making is contaminated with pedophilia.
DeleteSo you saying I should replace with ageless demons. Interesting... *ponders deeply*
DeleteMake all of the girls adults if you ever want to see your game again. You have until the release date.
DeleteAlso ur sentence makes no sense regless.
Spellcheck you betrayed me! But I was thinking like Etna and Flonne from Disgaea. They're both over 900 years old. Must draw them looking YOUNGER!!!
DeleteOn a slightly more serious note, did I ever actually give ages for the character in the game. I think I did, can't remember where though?
You didnt reg. You never listed their ages.
DeleteAs for your remak ken it doesnt say anything about hentai Electronic or mechanical means mean Digital camera or a normal one that works on film.
Delete(a) a photographic, film, video or other visual representation, whether or not it was made by electronic or mechanical means.
Unless in Regless' fictional world you aren't an adult until you hit 21...
DeleteWent ahead and looked up the legal definition of electronic just so u can admit ur wrong.
Deleteadj.
DeleteCloud, it wouldn't matter, because he can't legally post anything depicting someone under 18.
DeleteThe problem with your definition Ken, is that when you use a word it can mean any ONE of the definitions available, or even multiple, but it doesn't always have to mean ALL of the possible definitions. So while I (shudder) agree with your assumption, it is still an assumption.
DeleteAnd who says they aren't? They just aren't "adults". What is an adult in their culture? Maybe they didn't manage to complete one strange ritual like the African ritual of walking across several cows backs in succession at least 5 time, so they are eternally considered "children".
DeleteAnd considering that the character can buy Beer and Wine from the bar, evidence suggests that he is over 18. Just still considered a kid for some reason. Since the ages aren't mentioned officially, the evidence available looks more in Regless' defense than yours.
DeleteLastly, as previously stated, all Regless needs to do is add the line about all characters being over the age of 18, and never stating their ages in-game. Then he's done. End of story. Plenty of 18+ people still live at home.
DeleteYe like i forgot what country your a adult and alowed to have sex and all that at the age of 12-14 someware there it was a asian country
DeleteSome porn studios use that country as a scapegoat to film underage porn and ironicly it works
DeleteAnd ken as cloud said it depends on the context. True underage real porn is ilegal fictional is legal and always has been. Just look at a few underaged hentai that are fairly popular and legal-Oni Chichi. If it was ilegal and persecuted reg wouldnt be able to find links to it from canada it would be banned.
DeleteAlso Ken.
DeleteLeged of queen opala would have been banned by canadian gov for underaged anime porn by now btw. Its a really famous hentai game and nothing was done to it.
For all of you that didnt know yes Gabe is Canadian
Cloud, first of all let's not play dumb. The law would say what exceptions it has to a rule if it meant things in that way.
DeleteSecond, buying beer for children was only unusual in the past few generations, children had beer for millenia throughout history.
Location: Sweden

DeleteYou do know that you can still live with your parents and be refered to as a child even after your 18
DeleteActually time to be honest i was just trolling the troll.
DeleteIt is ilegal :P
I checked and
Deletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laws_regarding_child_pornography#Sweden
So reg be carefull :P
DeleteI don't think Reg has much to worry about.
DeleteThe only time I ever heard of anyone getting in trouble for fictional "underage" artwork also had real pictures and where distributing them.
Gordon Chin trial
DeleteIn October 2005, Canadian police arrested a 26 year old Edmonton, Alberta man named Gordon Chin for importing Japanese manga depicting explicit hentai of child pornography.
Eli Langer Art Show Trial
One early application of this law was the Eli Langer case.
So dont know
But its true reg hasnt revealed ages and they can easely pass for 18 yo
Chen pleaded guilty on the charge from what limited information I could find, so that pretty much explains his conviction. If he fought, I imagine he would have been acquitted like Langer.
DeleteGetting sentenced for illustrated "porn" of any kind is like going to jail for murdering a polygon.
I guess you do have a point, and our legal system over here can be pretty stupid sometimes. I guess Reg will decide in the end if he wants to add a standard disclaimer or what not.
I know I'm feeding the troll here, but I feel this is an important topic that should be aired out.
DeleteSo I have a few questions for you Ken-Bakasama.
How old do you think this character is?
http://kyrasan.deviantart.com/art/Izumi-Konata-62251463
How about this one?
http://yintaro.deviantart.com/art/Zakuro-chan-61532303
Would you consider this CP?

Or maybe this one?

How about this too?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venus,_Cupid,_Folly_and_Time
Anon up above me, several of those images werent even porn, one person was in Brazil, what point are u trying to make?
DeleteAlso, I will consider making charges against Gabe for her pedo-game, but I'm not sure because I thought the characters were 18+ if im not mistaken.
I ask everyone I report for their address.
https://grindingdown.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/net-troll.jpg?w=320&h=434
DeleteLol gj anon. Haha. And ken u didnt do shit if he doesnt specify their age it wont matter.
DeleteOnly way a fuckup can happen if he says that they are underaged so u lost
Nikola nikola nikola...
DeleteFirst you confuse the American supreme court with Canada, and now you say he hasn't specified the ages.
It's very clear they're under the age of 18. I'm sure u knew it, much like everyone who watched the little chinese girls at the olympics knew it.
I have only won, because regless must now realize his creative freedoms end where my sensibilities are concerned.
Deal with it.
Did it say they are underage no? And there are people that are 21 and are mistaken for underaged- Me for example i look like a 16 yo.... Also i can show ya a frend of my thats 15 looks 25.
DeleteThen you got people that live with their parents and are still treated like kids so u lose.
As for the courts thing dont you realise i was trolling your ass. hahahaah wow how thick can u be.
"Anon up above me, several of those images werent even porn, one person was in Brazil, what point are u trying to make?"
DeleteOHHHH! So you do consider "some" of those pictures pornographic!
I'm curious, which one(s) did you find pornographic?
If you don't mind me asking.... :3
Anon- I consider none of those porn, but I only looked at a couple of them. I assumed by ur sentence some of them were porn. One of them was an anime girl just standing around in clothing, wtf were u even thinking?
Delete"As for the courts thing dont you realise i was trolling your ass. hahahaah wow how thick can u be."
DeleteDid you know? That you are not allowed to have anal sex unless it's with your wife or if both parties are at least 18 years old? Just because 16 is the age of consent DOESN'T mean ur allowed to have consensual anal sex.
DeleteGuilty parties of this law may face only 10 years in prison, which is twice as bad as your child pornography laws.
http://www.yourlaws.ca/criminal-code-canada/159-anal-intercourse
Deal with it Canada...
Prob is ken for that law no one is dumb enough to say i had anal with my BF/GF in front of a court.Cos both of em would be guilty. This is a prime example of a dumb law
DeleteThis has to be my favorite thread so far. Thank you Ken-Sama and Nikola Mircevski for giving me such an entertaining read! ^_^ Ken, you're a moron who makes me weep for humanity. Nikola, I see a lot of you and good on ya for playing with the troll.
ReplyDeleteGetting away from the troll...is there some trick to beating Regless near the beginning of the game? He seems to have as much HP as the Porky statue in Mother 3 (10,000,000 HP).
ReplyDeleteYou have to steal the necklace back from him.
DeleteYou dont kill him thats a huge mistake many make xD.
DeleteUse the spell called steal or thef something like that
Yo, Regless, you got an approximate release timeframe? just wondering cause im really looking forward to this game, been keeping tabs on it for a while, its one of my favorite h-rpgs by far. just wanna know if its gonna be like, a month or so, if not its fine ill be patient for this, its worth it. and ty for the amazing product ^^ keep up the good work. im like broke right now, but if i get any spare cash ill donate.
ReplyDeleteIt has been unofficially cancelled because of its legality in Canada.
Delete"It has been unofficially cancelled because of its legality in Canada."
DeleteI burst out laughing when I read this!
Aiming for end of September at the moment.
DeleteYou have no right!
DeleteLas post he said he might relese it at end of september but its not a concrete date problems can still arise
ReplyDeletek, thanks for the quick reply, i cant wait xD
Deleteyou are watched
ReplyDeleteYou are watched aswell. We dont take kindly to anonym around here
DeleteDoes this game go beyond the prologue (it might not, but some of the comments in previous posts lead me to believe it does)? If so, I may have encountered a game-breaking bug because I can't get it to continue past that. The first time I got to the prologue end screen, I did something (not sure what since I tried pressing half the keys on my keyboard) that brought up a text windowing asking me if I wanted to save, though whether I saved or not, I was unable to continue. After loading up the save right before the Regless fight and trying again, I can't even get that to happen. The only thing I can do is bring up the menu with X as if I was in a position to move around. Trying this multiple times yielded the same results.
ReplyDeleteNo it doesnt go beyond the prologue.
DeleteBut fear not chapter 1 is coming soon and we are all impatient
If your playing the demo, that's just the prologue.
ReplyDeleteThe as of yet unreleased game goes beyond that.
