So. Been helping my friend out with his game lately. As you can see. He's quite the artist. If you want to support him, his patreon is over on https://www.patreon.com/MallCreeps.

As for my stuff. Well I'd like to get back to work on Bonehead. But I kinda need to focus on his stuff for now. He's shown interest in working on Bonehead. And if that did happen I'd likely go back to rpg maker. Bunch of people said it already but I really messed up not making a patreon for myself. It's a shame, but it's also true my project was way more aggressive then what I could manage.

And stop saying I'm dead. I'm gonna outlive everyone. XD.

Glad to see you are still alive. Hopefully you will work on Bonehead sometime this year! :D

    1. I think about getting back to work on that project often.

  2. If you were to return on Bonehead, which i hope you will!
A few tips and some information you may or may not be aware of...

1 open up a few pay way's for people like a patreon account. This way you could work on project mainly and not have to 'need' to have another source of income thus you can both focus more on the game and live a little bit easier while working on the game, not having to worry about money much/at all is quite a nice thing or so i am told.

2 find a few people helping with the project that can do things you necessarily don't have to do. stuff like making a dungeon/area map, monster stats and general coding. i think the music you used last time around on it are perfect.
don't think you need change/add anymore on that.

3 the adult art's you used was quite good for that time. the in game world etc don't need any changes, but if you go back to rpg maker series.
there are newer one's and then you could hire if money and all allows, someone to make the adult arts in 3d it would probably lift the amount of people wanting to both patron and play the game.
I say this only because well people these days have been spoiled by 3d adult games a lot... however most if not all the graphics you used in bonehead last time around would still work quite well i think

Scene pic 1 the bone-spirit 'appears' in graveyard.
    10/10.

girl at forge riping of her top because of the fire or something?-don't remember too well.. but yeah still looks good!
i think it would get a clear 8 mby 9 from most players. and 10/10 from some^^
So yeah this level of graphics is still very very good and i bet that tons of people still would play the game with this level of adult graphics etc even if its not 3D.

4 like i said rpg maker series, I don't know which one would be better in any sort of way. VX Ace, MV, MZ or Unite. the thing is many people are using newer pc barely anyone i think is using a computer during/before 2014.
these days to play games. And MV as i understand is using Javascript/
for most english and english like native speaking/writing people, that is way easier to learn i've been told than learning scripting in Ruby.

If one checks rpg maker website there is a thread called MV or MZ
just google for it... It give's both pro's and cons on both Engine's.
one comment i read for an example was this: But really, I always suggest MZ because you can use SumRndmDude's HUD Maker Ultra with it, which fundamentally changes what you can do with the engine (it's both easy to use and extremely powerful).

So depending on what you would want Bonehead to be if you go back to it. etc, you could perhaps do less/more on your own yet have a faster pace
of getting stuff done.. You can port over much of the work from Ace to MV/MZ done.

stuff like redrawing the Maps should not be needed, but if you want to have the maps reworked any, then asking on f95zone website for help in re-making maps
for parts like forest, towns etc for free or not should't be difficult at all..
it also has the orginal game on the website i believe it is the latest update it had url is.
    https://f95zone.to/threads/bonehead-v0-1-17-the-beermine.1127/
I don't know if you still got the orginal game or not or a place were it's stored so. :)
And if you would need help in getting content like music etc from your old game out to use... Well i would be suprised if nobody on f95zone could help you out. There are a lot of people here with varying skills and many are often quite helpfull i am told.

And no i got no idea what you got stored or not. So i hope you simply take this as a friendly help towards getting your interests back in making bonehead again. :)

Wish you best of luck and all in game making and in life aswell! :D

  3. I'm glad to see your still working stuff. I've loved your style and the depth of your games. I'm also glad to see your working on Mall Creeps, I've tried it myself and really liked what I've seen so far. And if it gets you some help to move back to your own projects all that much better!

  4. Wouldn't say you messed up with the idea of crowed funding. I live in Canada too and know full well how stupid expensive it is to live here.

I'm going to assume that you have been with your job for a while now. Managing your day job with your obligations as a content creator can be very difficult.

Besides, there is no time like the present if you want to work as a paid content creator. You already have a small fan base that will help you get the word out if you decide to go that rout.

  5. Dude, I have been following this site on and off for YEARS. Literal years. I don't know if it's been a decade yet or not, but I've been here since damn near the very beginning of Bonehead.

Please, yes, pick it back up. I recently replayed it to show a friend of mine and fell in love with it all over again. The entire reason I showed him was so he could male a D&D style campaign based on it but... if you can just fi ish it, that'd be awesome.

I've supported many games, and just like I said back then, this game is WORTH supporting. Once the name gets out there, I' sure you'd have INSANE amounts of support from a Patreon for Bonehead. It's just that good.

  6. I'm so glad to hear you are still alive! If you do decided to pick up Bonehead then make a Patreon. You deserve all the help you can get to make that game work. I played the old build long ago and I fell in love with it. I would love to see it make a comeback. Please keep up updated. Also what ever happened to the Battle Network style game you were doing? Any update on it?

  7. It's alive !!!! A year late, but it's still nice ^^
Don't try to rush back at the game, make sure to deal with all that is blocking you first, we can wait (not too long though XDXDXD)
You're not the first game that was delayed for years, and giving us some news from time to time makes you far better than those who go into infinite hiatus or run with the money ^^
By the way, will you keep using RPGmaker for Bonehead ? I like to play on this engine, but you're the developer, so it's you who choose the tools you work with.
