Weekly Update

Alright so time for the weekly update. Well first off I got my holiday wrong. So I'm looking forward to going to work tomorrow for the sole reason of apologizing.  LoL I am a real idiot sometimes. Hopefully they aren't too pissed. It's been bugging me for the last half of the day.

Game wise I finished the quests and move back into the chapter 1 story which is more linear so will hopefully go a little faster. Bloody thing was a nightmare and I ended up having to gut a bunch of the quests and redo their dialogue. It was a ton of work.

As for my schedual, I should be going strong till next week. Going to bypass Assasin's Creed for now till the review come out and the online play stabilizes. Plus Dragon Age is the game I'm really jones'n for. And I think that's all. Take care gents and I'll see you next week.

  1. Awesome!!! Side-quests are usually the more lengthy part. As for your holiday... damn. That sucks. Grovel, and grovel well. Lastly, I'm sure you aren't the only one "Jones'n" for DA. We understand.

    1. Yeah. I went in today to apologize to the head foreman in person. He seemed to be okay with once I owned up to it. The Site I work is actually really good at not being ass holes. Now I can finally get some sleep. Was bugging me quite a bit yesterday.

  5. The ending to that last assassins creed was stupid.

The devs admitted they knew most audiences didnt really know who desmond was cause the series was extremely old. So they SPOILERED him.

    1. The link that is given on the hongfire site does not download anything. After the file is completed it shows as - Failed - No File. Is there another location where the game can be downloaded besides from the links on the site above?

  9. How is it that the last thread managed to get 127 comments and this one has barely managed 10, now 11, comments? What made the last thread so much better compared to this one?

  10. It's only assuption, but mayby they are afraid that "debate" will slow down the progress of game ...

    1. BS. Debate is a good thing for games.

      Delete
    2. Debate isn't going to slow this game. Regless probably has the story pretty much plotted out. All we are doing is speculating on "what-if" stuff. If anything is going to slow the release of the game, it's Dragon Age.

    4. lol. yeah. It's Dragon Age, with touches of farcry 4 here and there. So far I'm really impressed with the dragon age game. It's scope definitely seems comparable to origins. numerous little side things to do too, like judging enemies you've beaten inquisitor style. One asshole was throwing goats at my castle. Laughed so hard at that.

  13. Just found this. It's pretty rude, and obviously not true in reality, but I laughed. And any male math teacher who marks this answer wrong on a test is a failure who has no sense of humor.

    1. Women say the same thing about men. So I see it as the other side of the same coin.

      Delete
    2. In most countries males have better spacial skills, so they tend to be better at math.

      Delete
    3. And in some they get a better education you can debate this all day but nether males nor females are superior we all got our quirks

      Delete
    4. why is there a "feminist studies" class at my college?

      Delete
    5. lol wtf now thats bs and most feminisam is bs too i do admit like 5-15% of all feminists know what true feminisam is

      Delete
    6. I know. It's so sad. It seems like most women just use feminism to demean men.

      Delete
    7. Nobody is saying superior Nikola... just different. The spacial skills part is common knowledge if you've taken even a basic psychology class. Men tend to be better in math, women in was it literature? Our brains are just wired differently. Exceptions exist of course, but generally that's how it goes. And that's in countries where women and men receive the same quality of education, not the ones where men are still "superior" and thus receive better.

      Delete
    8. As to feminism... *Real* feminism is a good thing. The problem is that the actual feminists tend to be outshouted by the misandrists that pretend to be feminists. Even worse, some of those who start out as feminists get sucked into the misandrists' propaganda, adding to their number and making the cause look even worse.

      Delete
    9. I know, right. It's so sad. It's like so many of them learned nothing from men in our struggle to overcome our own pride and selfishness to realize women deserve equal rights. It's gone full 180, and it's become so common in such subtle ways that you don't notice it, really, unless you're looking.

      Delete
    10. Not even that, they fail to realize that they're arguing with the wrong people. They say things like "you oppressed us" but... WE didn't! We're the ones who let them get equal rights! It was the generation before ours (in my case) that recognized the problem that their forefathers had and fixed it, instead of being happy about it, they belittle us for SOLVING the issue! Even more, they aren't the ones who went through it, the ones who did are almost all dead! So yeah, it's hate for hate's sake.

    11. I.e. (commercial) *woman about to do dishes in dishwasher, gets out soap, calls husband*
Wife: Honey, I've told you before not to get this detergent, it doesn't work right.

Husband: but it costs less. What's the difference anyway?

Narrator: our product cleans 10x better than discount soap... etc.

      So translated it's

Wife: stupid man, You can't get anything right! You're unteachable!

Husband: Duh-huhuh, well you're right again honey, I should really stop trying to think and just do what you tell me, hyuk.

Narrator: you are an idiot, sir. Here's where you went wrong.... etc.

      Delete
    12. To be fair, cloud. WE didn't solve it. WE didn't "let them to have equal rights". The previous generation fought tooth and nail to obtain equal rights and they won their right to be equal which they should have had anyway. And our generation doesn't "ALLOW" them to have equal rights, we SUPPORT them having equal rights because it's not ours to decide if the should have equal rights or not.

      Delete
    13. However the majority of what you said rings true, Cloud. It seems like so many woman seek revenge for the crimes most of us didn't commit. They're crimes many of the generation before committed.
That'd be like Inigo Montoya saying, "Well the man who killed my father died before I could obtain my revenge, but it seems he has a son who hates the evil his father committed and seeks to make amends for his fathers sins, so I shall kill him instead."

See, it doesn't make any sense.

      Delete
    14. "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, your father killed my father, prepare to die."
... it just doesn't sound right.

    15. Makes sense in anime... No I'm kidding. Even there it doesn't make sense but all the characters seem to go with it anyway.

There's a woman with a youtube video series called the factual feminist. She's a credit to feminism given she actually practices properly as a form of egalitarianism. Many of her videos dig into the radical claims of other feminists to clear of a few misconceptions on the matter. I'm not sure if any of your watch John Oliver's last week tonight. But she's essentially that with feminism. Also you should watch John Oliver's last week tonight and see if it grabs your fancy. Pretty much any video will do.

    16. I totally agree with Christina Hoff. There are soo many points where people that criticize sexy women in games that thing have fucked up games. One big and popular example Smite. Heres a brief explanation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UiPZFPYhmzs .
The said part is you dont have people like this openly defending the videogame industry.

    17. When I said WE solved it, I was using the "we" in the same way they use it against us, saying men allowed the change. Because in all honesty, they didn't have to. That's why I made sure to say "the previous generation" right after.

      Delete
    18. To be clear, THEY (previous generation) allowed the change. WE (this generation) support that change because as you say, they should have had it from the start. Touchy subject, language can cause... misunderstandings.

      Delete
    19. To clarify more... When I say men "allowed" the change. I do mean that literally. They could have just slapped women as they would have in the past, and told them to shut up and accept their lot in life. They would have been wrong to do so, but they could have done it is the point I'm making. Especially since women had far less legal protection from being beaten by their husbands and such than they have now.

    20. And sexy in video games and other such things; do they complain about all the eye candy they get in movies? Where all the heroes and guys who get the girl are men with ridiculous frames? Unless it's one of those movies that try to teach a lesson, the nerd isn't the guy the girl is interested in. Unless he gets something that makes him no longer just a nerd. Like superpowers, or becomes a spy or something. That's hardly the "average man" and they eyeball them as much as we eyeball beautiful women. It's just hypocrisy. I hate that.

Finally; yes, we have beautiful women in games. So what? Is it really that big a deal? The problem isn't that video game women look better than real women, the problem is that (some) women are so insecure that they feel a need to compare themselves to those video game women. You've got enough to worry about with real women who are extremely sexy. Get over yourself and get some self confidence. You don't see me comparing myself to the hulk!

    21. Lol. They had a page like that in "weregeek" they're in a comic book store and the guy says something like, "you know, I figured you'd hate comics more considering your opposition to the medias portrayal of women"
And the girl says something like, "Meh, it's a trade off. You get scantily clad heroines, we get yaoi."

    22. Funny how quickly so many people will trade in their viewpoint for an eye-full.

    23. Thanks for posting the link Reg.

It's refreshing to see a feminist that doesn't have her head up her wazoo.

She makes a lot of good points and actually dose some basic research on the topic she talks about.

  14. So i have a question since im new to the blog :D when does Regless usually stream?

    6. Do whatever you need to so that the creative juices keep flowing and you don't lose interest. If you need to draw stuff for the future, do it. If you need to do bug fixes and etc? Do that. Don't be pressured by people. Especially people who are so anonymous that they can't even assign an internet name to their posts, so we don't know who we're responding to. One anon, or several of them.
