  2. Oh damn. This suddenly got a lot more complicated. I like it. But damn. Idk if I can do this in three months... especially with the tail. We'll... I guess all I can do is try. Wish me luck.

    2. three months??? is that possible?... this is first one i will be making and i thought it will take longer. Would you mind if we share some experience and stuff? somehow?

    3. Is it ok if I modify the design a bit to make it a little more plausible to make?

    4. No no... you don't understand :) i'm the one who need help.

    5. I have one question is the bone spirit form just a costume or is it alive like he has human form and spirit form but the 2 are separate beingsor is some kind of human spirit hybrid or is he undead:)

    6. I think it might be some kind of psychological thing where his inner badass comes out to play when he puts the suit on. Maybe some residual energy from the body parts gives him a boost or something like that.

    7. or maybe armor and boneclaws are much stronger that rags and fists

      Delete
    8. While that is completely true he doesn't seem to have any ability to fight at all outside of the armor. Like not even helpless flailing.

    9. Feel free to modify it as you want. I've got faith you'll keep loyal to the original feel and the armor has gone through several iterations and does get modified quite a bit in game even though showing all that would be graphically intensive. Hell there's a common era version of him right here.

You can see the character has many iterations. Those are just a few done by my brother. As for details on whether the armor is alive, no comment. Man, I can't wait to get the next chapter out. One step closer to answering some of your questions.

  3. Did you not play the game James? It's pretty obvious which is which in the demo... Well to start with at least. With how good stories can go, who knows what it will turn out to be in the end?

But my original intended comment for this:

Do this with real bones? Anyone? I'd love to!

    1. Real bones? Like.. deforming animal bones with vinegar or something like that?

      Delete
    2. or just break them into pieces and put them back together in different shape (sounds easier than that deformation)

      Delete
    3. and where the hell do you even find animal bones of that size?

      Delete
    4. Most butchers sell them cheaply or might even give them for free.
You will have to boil or bury them in an anthill for quite some time to get rid of meat and membranes.

    5. There are no large skulls that are shaped like dryden's armor...

      Delete
    6. maybe sheep and goat skulls?

      Delete
    7. If you use only top parts... but horns are i way and eye is may be small for this(can be cut and enlarged). You can try it. I will stay with syntetic materials. Bones are unstable bi*ches... sometimes.

  4. How are things going beyond this? How's the whole dental ordeal going?
Also, is there anything we might help out with?

    1. Naw. Maps all maps except the first continent are done because that's one's completely handdrawn. I should be finishing it this week which is great because eventing and the like I can do at work. Haven't gotten the tactical battle system yet, but as I've mentioned, if I finish this chapter before it's done I'll just get a headstart on the next one.

Dental is going great in that's it's over and doesn't hurt or even feel weird anymore so I've been getting lotsa hours down on the game and as 4 am this morning even managed to catch up on my Japanese homework. Very glad I took a second week off work. Also I'm all caught up on my gaming so that's another time sink taken of. Also I received work my new cintiq should ship this week. So things are actually kicking ass right now.

    2. Awesome, that's great to hear!
Both that the game is going well but also really nice to hear that the dental stuff is more or less behind you.
Well, let us know if you need help with anything and other than that keep up the good work.

    1. Actually doesn't the game say thats what they are? Been WAAAAYYY too long since I last played through it, so I could be remembering wrong.

    2. He say, "these don't look like bones from any animal I've ever seen."

  7. So can I modify the design so its easier to make. Cuz the tail would be hell to make properly. Also, I like the full helmet style skull better. You know, the one from the title screen.

    1. Also. How to you deform bones with vinegar? I'm curious now.

      Delete
    2. it makes calcium disappear from bones and make them flexible or something like that

      Delete
    3. about the tail... use strong wire and make some „bones“ around it... or... is there any other problem? cuz i can't think of any. ( not until i will try to do that )

      Delete
    4. Yes. I'm kinda a perfectionist so I'd want the tail to "function" as a weapon like he has it. That wouldn't be easy. And I just wanna alter it a bit cuz I like the cover version best. The one with no hair and no face rags and no tail like this one has. It was simple and quite bad-ass... and I was more used to it.

      Delete
    5. Still. If what you're saying is correct... you could use vinegar om a cow spine and It could work for the tail...... hmmmmmmm

      Delete
    6. yea vinegar... i don't know how to harden it back and i only tried it on eggs :D... about tail-weapon - i will try to find a solution (but it will work propably only as a sword)

    8. Well that's the thing. Why harden it back up. If its rubbery and flexible wouldn't it be perfect as a whip/tail?

      Delete
    9. Oh.... hmmmm.... well maybe you xould just soak it a little?

      Delete
    10. dunno as i said i only done it with eggs and they become soft immediately

      Delete
    11. Fair enough. Thanks for the advice by the way.

  8. So how's the jaw? How's the progress looking on the game? A status update of sorts.

    1. Fair point. We have kinda gotten off topic. How IS the game coming. Cuz I'm still super psyched.

      Delete
    2. Like, if we could get some kinda detailed report on the progress. What % you have done of what. What parts someone else is doing, What parts some one else has to do, what parts you have to and are doing. That way we can make estimates for release dates if everything does or doesn't go according to plan/schedule.

P.S. I'd still love to edit your game dialogue. Because despite how fantastic your game is, the bad grammar threw my friend off.
