Okay, it's been a bit so i think it's time for another stream, tomorrow at 4pm pst. Sorry for not doing them more often. Lotsa stuff been going on. Old cintiq died so I had to buy another one. Holidays and mapping tool have been keeping me busy. Was planning on today by my place is a pig sty thanks to Christmas and I need to do some serious cleaning before this place becomes a quarantine zone.

    1. Nope not even close. There's no way to predict when the next chapter is gonna release when it's barely even been started because everything is going to change like five times before I get to the end of it.

      The last chapter took quite a while though. as in over a year. and I haven't really started on the new one yet, *Got a couple new art assets down and that's it*

      Also, right now my main focus is in unity. Ideally I'd like to start transfering BoneHead over to that if it goes well, but wheather or not that happens depends on my ability to make efficient tools so that may not fly. I think it will... I mean... it should. I think I can do this. yeah.

    2. Are you sure that's a good idea Reg? From what I know of unity, it would involve some pretty serious changes to the game and game play. Can unity even support a turn based battle system? and one with 4 PCs at that? I've never seen it do that.

    3. I think switching over to Unity is a great idea. You won't be stuck in RPG Makers convoluted and suffocated environment.

      There may be a bit of a learning curve in the scripting aspect, but Unity is a lot more open ended and customizable in the long.

      Just curious, are you scripting in java(Unity script) or C#?

    4. Shawn: Am I sure it's a good idea? Nope. Won't know for sure unless I try. I've mentioned I'd like to start making money off the stuff I do so if it doesn't work for Bonehead it will work for a commercial project either way.

      And Yes, the changes would be rather big, less Final Fantasy 6, more Zelda, Alundra, or Secret of Mana.

      I know Unity can support a turn based battle system easily, but I'm actually hoping I'll be able to move away from that towards something more action oriented. There's actually a pretty cool video here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyeTvniFUTU

      Anon: Thanks. And yeah, the limits on RPG Maker really drive me nuts sometimes so I'm hoping this pans out. I'm Using C#.

      Learning C# is a good move. Although people say JS is easier, there are a lot more help tutorials and support in C#. And it's really not all that different from JS/Unity Script

      The Unity store also has loads of tools that you can buy for commercial productions, so no more hunting down said script writer to ask if you can use the script commercially.

    6. Ok i hope it all works out but my big question is are you going to keep the art style or will it change. The current art style is beautiful and makes it feel very immersive. Personally i would like it to stay the same but if you do happen to change it then will you show us some samples of what the changed art style will look like>?#

    7. It can support one? Huh, I will admit I didn't know that. I've not seen it do it before, and someone a long time ago told me it couldn't. Oh well, all things considered its currently a moot point I suppose.

      And looking at that video, I now realize that unity is not nearly as bad a program as I thought it was 5 minutes ago, and am actually wondering if I may have mixed it up with a different program entirely, as that looks nothing like what I usually associate with the term unity. Weird. Well, that's just something else to investigate I suppose.

      It may have been Unity. Unity somewhat recently incorporated native 2D support and there was always 3ed party tools that allowed entry level support in creating a 2D game.

      But now with native tools built in, it has become a lot easier to make a 2d game with or without 3ed party tools.

  2. You intending on releasing any more patches for the game, just out of curiosity? I've been holding off on downloading and playing it until I could DL the most bug free version possible.

    1. I think I'm mostly done the bug fixes. I haven't gotten them all because I'm not sure how for the crashes. The fact that I can't reproduce them on my machine doesn't help.

  3. the game crushes suddenly a lot with the error message script game player li 292 no method error occured it happens in a lot of places. places it happened to me the fire elemental cave the autumn woods the autumn woods cave and dryden home town
    in the caves it happened before the ice lady usually when i try to train in the dugeons before the boss fights
    please help cause i realy like your game i find the plot very intrigin

I think it is a good idea with unity but keep a save on your work in rpg maket and in unity first try work on stuff that you find either hardest too do or is easiest and possible in rpg maker like story t.ex that way you either know If things work out the way you wanted or not as fast as possible or you have atleast a little extra stuff you can go back too rpg maker with or another game creation platform. If that happens in the end you have learned something new and dont loose any real time on next bonehead chapter, i really like bonehead and hope you continue with it amazing story and good characters, nice music choice and sweet graphics 3-4 chapters like that and id vet my arse that lots of People would but it hentai or No hentai :)

  6. Yeah Reg make sure you back up ALL OF YOUR FILES. Cause if shiz suddenly hits the fan and you lose any data then i could push you to stop working on the game.

  7. Not sure if this has been brought up. I just found the game and downloaded it. Issue I found so far when I use F12 to exit the game I get Script 'Customer Commands' line 565: SystemStackError occurred. stack level to deep

  8. can someone please give me a walkthrough? espeicially to the black castle part i tried everything and i still cant get out from there or find a key or making kuro respond to me
    please help i am desperate the code says i need yin's crystal but i can't find it no matter here i look which after i got to the black castle is limited to there only
    also the ice princess quest is not apearing in the completed quests section of the log

  9. Is there some forums or something to ask questions about the game. I'm stuck on Fort Shale with underground. I found the elemental but can't kill it. I have looked around to see if I can figure out how to make it weaker to kill it. I have turned off all the lit fires with a lot of trial and error went back to kill it and couldn't. There are 2 areas with huge flames that block my access that I can't figure out how to get around. Thank You for help.

    1. Nope, just here. As for beating the elemental. There is a water weapon recipe behind Dryden's house. Though I've only beaten it with the power of grinding (so much grinding, though not for that boss)

    2. Thank You for the feed back. So I kill the elemental I receive my reward. Then I get the dialog "Well This thing can die any time now..." "Ummm... is it getting bigger again?" I'm lost to where it is drawing it's power from.

      Wait just to ask, did you rescue the Ice princess? If not thats your answer, she should be up a ladder 2 rooms back. If you did, well grind more (If there something else, I did it without realizing it).

    4. Ah no I didn't rescue you her on the 2nd Floor. Then my issue is there is either a switch that I have used or I don't have them in the correct up and down sequence. After I enter the dungeon and go to the first room. If I go right I flipped the switch in that dead end room to turn the flame off from the floor above me. When I go back to the first room, and go straight up to the 3rd room, I can go up again to a 4th room, and there is 3 flames blocking my progress straight up. I can go back down to the 3rd room and start making my way east which I have done to get to the elemental. If I go one more room to the east to the 5th room I have that ladder which is blocked by 5 rows of flames, I have put out the first and last flame but the middle flames I still have up, and can't find the switch or combo of how the switches are suppose to be to turn off the flames. So am I missing something for turning off the flames in the 4th and 5th room? I appreciate your help with trying to get this solved.

    5. The room straight north from 1st room (4th?) is the exit which you need to release lead priestess (who is past the elemental). Um did you see the room to the north east of the fire puzzle? Side note some levers block off others (for example that NE room blocks off elemental if I'm remembering correctly).
      Lastly, I don't have a save close to fort shale so this is all I can do for this location (going off pure memory)

    6. I appreciate all your help. I'm thinking something is glitched. I have tried every single switch combo I could think of to take down the flames to the Princess. There are 2 areas with flames that I just can't access. I have a feeling the first area has the switches to the middle flames that is protecting the Princess that I can't get to. My only other thought is there is some pattern with the 3x3 fires that I need to figure out that is keeping me out of the first flame area that I can't access.

      Um, I'm gonna guess you mean the spooky temple place. As I said to the other dude, I simply kept moving and ended up doing it so I unfortunately can't help you. But, 1. you shouldn't have to return to previous map for something to head forward, 2. one of the keys makes you do a grappling hook so you can get across certain ledges, 3. yeah~~ quest updater isn't the best just ignore it.

    2. i used the grappling hook andgotten to the where kuro (that black haired guy with a talisman on the eye that ryo hates) locked himself in the jail with no door by the puple throne with sword in side. but i try talking to him i only get this conversation: "dryden - ... kuron - ... dyden - what a weird guy." with no indication to what to do next. i kjnow that the exit is south of there but when i try to get out it says that it's locked and thatthe ke might be with kuro but as i mentioned above trying to talk to him gets me nowhere and only repeats that lame one sided conversation (if you can call: "... ... what a weird guy/" conversattion) please help

    4. Really, when you defeat the two evil mikos the dark dude throws the key to you. It should be a shiny at the intersection at the doorway.
